Deer Jade is a Swiss-French DJ and producer whose bright, kinetic sets move through driving grooves, melody and playful detail. With releases on Innervisions, Diynamic and Kompakt, she has built an international practice around the physical pleasure of dancing and the emotional possibilities of sound.

Warm, energetic and constantly in motion, she approaches the dance floor as a storyteller. Her selections and productions carry a distinctive frequency: futuristic yet human, uplifting without losing depth. As co-founder of I AM YOU, she brings the music, momentum and instinct that help its visual and collective world take shape.

Behind the decks

Her relationship with DJing began on the dance floor. Long before playing her own sets, she was collecting music and wondering how DJs could weave separate records into something that felt continuous. Learning to mix changed how she listened; learning to produce opened that curiosity further. She still approaches discovering music as a daily practice, following a track she loves back through an artist’s catalogue and into unfamiliar labels.

Careful preparation gives her room to improvise. She gathers hundreds of possible tracks for an event, but leaves their sequence open, responding to the people, the setting and the energy of the moment. Her sets move between moods and intensities, with long blends allowing different records to overlap and suggest something new. The audience helps shape where the music goes.

In the studio

In the studio, that curiosity becomes more personal. Producing gives her time to shape the details of a feeling into a record that can live beyond a single night. Collaboration leaves space for surprise: Cybernetic Symphony, made with Sam Shure, grew from a friendship and shared studio sessions into a track built around playful, unexpected ideas. That willingness to experiment sits alongside her attention to how the music feels on a dance floor.

I AM YOU

At I AM YOU, Jade’s musical practice meets Ole Ukena’s visual work. Voyage Infini became the label’s first release, and from the second release onwards Ole developed painted artworks in dialogue with the music. Together, they invite musicians into that exchange and bring people together through records, gatherings and creative workshops.
